HTML colouring

interface of the website

The color of the website is changing when your mouse is moving. And the luminosity is evolving as the hours go by. During the day, background is rather bright and text is dark. After the sunset, background is becoming dark and the text is getting lighter. I have written a little script which is coloring the entire HTML structure of the page in real time relating to the ephemerides of Paris in 2050. Each time you move the cursor, the colors of every tags in the HTML tree is recalculated with an original mixing of red, blue and green. The website's interface is a coloring program that reveals semantic structure of the Web.

The main idea is to remain aware of our body in front of the computer. The color sensation is a way to get a more reflective body awareness because technology interface ignore it.

I want to remind myself of the natural cycle of the sun for maintaining a distance with the computer. If we preserve our machines with screensavers programs, why don't we protect ourselves ? My interface is a kind of revenge for Microserfs and cyber-proletarians !

After several years, i have developed RSI (repetitive strain injury), a pain resulting from overuse of the mouse and keyboard. My interest for the origami is partially founded on a necessary distance with computer and a retrieval of better sensations and richer processes of fabrication. That's why technology is a subject matter of representation in my artistic practice as much as an object. Furthermore, my consideration for the body conciousness is an aesthetic point of view which i feel close to Richard Shusterman theories about somaesthetics.

Finally, this little program projects me and my work in the future by copying ephemerides of Paris in 2050
